The solution of something special from the States

I was a little bit disappointed. Don't you know how many wonderful things you can find in your country.
What I showed you grows in trees in your country in California. Not in a special tree no in all kind of trees. It is so wonderful In the picture you see the big part that Martina brought with her. What I showed you is a very small part that I made flat by making it wet. The big part is dry. Hanging in the trees it is green and soft.

We had to make a drawing. We had to draw in our own way, just look at the plant and try to draw something    in the way the plant grows. We were allowed to draw round figures or figures with straight lines. That is what I did as you can see and I used triangles.    
After the first drawing we had to copy the drawing. The two drawings had to be positive/negative. Not total Than the second one would be to black . Than make some copies of booth drawings and put it together as you see in the picture. This is just a start you can now go on at home and made something with it. This is just the foundation.

Something special from the States

Is there someone who can tell me what this is? It is something special from the States.
I got it from a famous lace designer Martine Bruggeman. This week I am at a workshop from a whole week . Martine is the teacher. It is a workshop where we design. I have done this for several years and it is such a good workshop. You learn a lot every time.

I wonder if there is someone who can tell me what this is.
 

Surprise, Surprise

I still am busy with ordering all my stuff (I see Jane smiling!) I went through a box with patterns looking for  the dutch explaining of the cluny help. Until now didn't find it, but what did I find????
the pattern of the doily I showed you some days ago. The big doily I found at the flee market of the scouts I went to. It is a copy from I think a magazine. Some one gave me that copy. So I have to find out in which magazine it was. Will do that on my Dutch blog and on the dutch Frivolite site. 
I was started to try to write down the last rounds, because some tatters liked that to use it as an edging.
Don't have to do that here it is. The problem is can I translate it in English. There of course would be a copyright.

A day with lots of rain

 This is what I saw after a big cloudburst a very nice rainbow. We have had all kinds of weather to day rain sunshine, lots of wind . It was a day to stay at home, so I had time to take pictures of the doilies I found on a flee market. Most of the time You find lots of doilies , but no tatting. This time I found three a big one and 2 small one. The man who had the things told me they were from an aunt and she has made them there were a lot of other doilies bobbin lace ribbon lace crotchet and another technique I don't know.
All the doilies were in a bag and he asked me 1 euro.  

This flee market was on Monday the 13th June  That is a Sunday here. A scouting group organized the flee market and I had to go there I saw a lot of friends and we talked a lot about the fun we had when we were young.

Meimarkt down town Tilburg 22 - 05 - 2011

Once a year we have as you in the States call it a garage sale, but it is downtown and there are about 630 people with a market stall and 200 place on the ground. The event starts on Saturday evening 9 o'clock and it goes on the whole night and ends on Sunday at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. On Sunday the children till 12 year     are allowed to ask for a place on a square, THE SQUARE downtown. Other years I wasn't there but this year living downtown now I couldn't resist to visit the market. I didn't take much money with me. All that you see in the picture (Pam Freck you should close your eyes and not look at the picture) I bought that for just 

€ 10, 20  That is about $14,00 . What do you see, well a lot of jewelery I bought them for the beads not to ware them. than some small statues, don't look Pam, a donkey for Nora a metal cat to make cakes. A book to make special clothes for dolls, a picture of angels I told you I thought about a poem that is talking of 14 angels that goes with you when you go to sleep. I had a picture but it brook and there is a lady bird made of a balloon I bought some small balloons and hope I can make them myself  There is also a small doily It is a nice piece of lace It is knitted and crotchet . I put it on the scanner and here is a picture of that piece of lace   

If you want to see it better to look for what  is done click on it and it becomes bigger I don't know who made it and if there is a pattern Just found it and payed 10 euro cents. Of course I looked for tatting, but didn't find anything. I think I have to go earlier in the morning or maybe in the night. I know that people who are looking for special things do that.But I have had a lot of fun and I think I found a lot of treasures. Next year I will go again. Now I have to gave my feet a big rest. I was walking for about 4 till 5 hours.

Here it is. Again a new book from Ineke Kuiperij. A second Kerstallerhande.
11 different objects for the Christmas tree.
This morning she visited me in my new Home.
It was difficult for her to find me, but at least she found me .
We talked a lot and than all at once there was her new book,
as a present for me and she already brought me a nice plant.
